three days and God multiplies
We have spent this week running a very informal club at the HDC in the school holidays. On tuesday the first day we only had three kids and wondered if it was worthwhile. We played football and chatted and made sure they got a good lunchtime meal, but to be honest we felt deflated by the end of the session.
Yesterday we had 10 kids by the end of the session, a bit more of a connection was made, we had a laugh with some of the Xhosa volunteers, and things picked up a little. Even though the local volunteers seemed to think we should be playing footballwith the kids and not rugby
.
This morning when we arrived to find 25 kids waiting for us, asking after for Iona, and eager to see us. It feels like we are strating to make some headway, and that some things are happening.
the stars are upside down!
This brought an understanding of how far away from home I am, I looked up at the stars last night and noticed that Orion was upside down, His belt was pointing upwards, and suddenley I realised I was upside down and felt like I was about to fall off the world !
Wonderful and scarey all at the same time.
Huzzah ! I’ve actually got round to creating my blog
Hi guys better late than never my blog is now in existance. I will try and get some content written and quality stuff here some time in the next six months, ( Hopefully next few days actually.)
